Dream. January 20, 2019
Waking up to people leaving Christmas packages on the porches. Back and front. It is mostly children carrying the packages all excited and happy glowing faces at being/ doing their sharing/helping.
Only see the ones at the back porch at first. It is when I go around to the front that I see a girl to talk to, and she tells me a little more. And she tells me that some of the gifts aren't anything special . Old blankets being recycled and such.
I think the gifts may not be special, but the givers certainly are. The cheerful children and the gracious grown-ups teaching through example.
But one of the gifts was a medium sized refrigerator/freezer that could sit by Rex's chair on his room. He could keep his pop there, and even his lunch meats. His canned stuff could go on top, like a shelf, and he could have what he wanted close at hand. He would be so pleased to have that, and somehow the gifts would be acceptable because they came through an agency.
He was going to be happy about the blankets too all fresh and clean and nicely warm.
Food and warmth. Are there any better gifts?
